The City of Uhland is seeking volunteers to fill openings on a multitude of boards and commissions vacancies.

Uhland residents interested in serving on the city’s boards and commissions can apply.

If interested in volunteering please submit and email to the City Secretary at citysecretary@uhlandtx.us for an application.

“UHLAND, TEXAS ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE”

“THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 66 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000.00 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $ 0.00.

 

Taxes per $100000.00 value will be $175.10.

Place 5 Council Seat Vacancy

The Uhland City Council has an open seat. The Place 5 seat has a term of 2021-2023. If you are interested in serving our community please e-mail citysecretary@uhlandtx.us to request an application.

To run for office in a general law city in Texas, you must, among other requirements:

  • be a citizen of the United States;
  • be at least 18 years old on the date of the election; and
  • be a registered voter and have lived in the State of Texas for at least 12 consecutive months prior to the filing date for the election, and in your city or ward for at least 6 months prior to the filing date for the election.
