Notice of Public Hearing – Proposed Tax Rate 2016

The City of Uhland will hold a meeting at 6:00pm September 7, 2016 at City Hall, 15 N. Old Spanish Trail, Uhland, Texas to consider adopting a proposed tax rate for tax year 2014. The proposed tax rate is 0.194100 per $100 of value.

Notice of Public Hearing – Proposed Budget 2016 – 2017

Persuant to the Texas Local Government Code, Chapter 102, notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Uhland, Texas will conduct a public hearing to obtain the views of the citizens regarding the proposed budget for the fiscal year October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017. The public hearing will be held on September 7, 2016 at 6pm at the Uhland City Hall, 15 N. Old Spanish Trail, Uhland, Texas 78640. Following the public hearing, the City Council may vote on the adoption of a budget for fiscal year 2016-2017. The public is encouraged to attend. A copy of the proposed budget is at the Uhland City Hall, 15 N. Old Spanish Trail, Uhland, Texas and posted on the City’s website at cityofuhland.com.

This proposed budget will not raise property taxes.

Hays County Judge Lifts Burn Ban 8/15/2016

Hays County Judge Bert Cobb, M.D., has lifted the burn ban on outdoor burning in the unincorporated areas of Hays County.

Persons planning to burn outdoors should be aware of wind conditions and delay burning if winds are expected to be gusty or high. Fires should always be attended by an adult and a water source should be available nearby.

Property owners planning to burn should notify the Hays County Emergency Communications Office at 512-393-7896, their local fire department, and as a courtesy their neighbors. More information about outdoor burning is available at www.co.hays.tx.us, choose Fire Marshal under the Law Enforcement dropdown.
